If you remember the Great Singapore Workout, you’ll be surprise that you’re working out those signature moves while you’re shopping! Here’s how:
1) SIDE STEPS WITH ARM BENDS
Workout Movement: Step from side to side, bending both arms up towards your shoulder.
Shopping: When there’s just too much shopping bag to handle, hooking your bags on your arms will leave more free hands to browse around. You actually burn more fats when you shop, since you’re working out with weights (your shopping bag)!
2) BASIC MARCH
Workout Movement: March on the spot. Clap your hands above your head and push both hands together in the air.
Shopping: Well, maybe not clapping but shopping definitely requires lots of walking!
3) ARM REACH
Workout Movement: Stretch right arm across your chest to the left. Alternate with the left arm.
Shopping: Remember those times when you have to stretch and swing your hands across the sale wagon to reach for that item you’ve got your eyes on? Shopping definitely gives you the motivation to stretch further, and definitely faster.
4) HEEL PRESS
Workout Movement: Hands on hips, stretch your right leg forward and touch the ground lightly with your heel. Alternate with the left leg.
Shopping: Women can simply spend the whole day trying on shoes, looking for the perfect pair. Stretching and tilting your leg forward when you try on shoes allows you to exercise your calf muscle. And at the end of shopping, you put your hands on your hips and heave a sigh of relief, proud of yourself for completing the shopping mission.
